My latest work began after I moved to Cleveland in 2020. In a new studio I felt opened to explore connections between the music I love and figurative motion. Using the music press (Rolling Stone, Crawdaddy, MOJO, etc.) as an underlying collage, I built up layers of motion that recalls Chinese script composed of my calligraphic representations of dancers moving with the music. The "RS" designations in titles refers to Rolling Stone magazine, followed by the issue number and date of issue. This enabled me to focus on music and vibes I associate with that particular point of time. All work shown is mixed media on canvas.

Larger paintings were first composed with print samples of whomever is being represented (i.e. the Rolling Stones, or Grunge Rock, or the Summer of Love 1967) and titled with a song recalling the person/group/or style of music.
